Sound signature

In detail

Discover our latest entry-level In-Ear monitor, designed for those looking for a well-balanced yet powerful listening experience. The VE ONE features a hybrid driver system, combining the warmth and depth of a dynamic driver for bass and mids with the precision of a balanced armature (BA) driver for the highs.

The result is a natural and energetic sound signature that brings music to life with a solid low-end, well-defined mids, and crisp yet smooth highs. Compared to its predecessor, this model delivers increased resolution and a more dynamic response, making it an excellent choice for musicians and audiophiles stepping into the world of high-quality In-Ear monitoring.

Technical insights

The VE ONE is designed as a hybrid system and combines a balanced armature driver with a dynamic driver. This combination of both driver technologies enables an extremely powerful and high-quality sound image for a 2-driver system.

Technical insights

In-ears use different driver technologies to produce sound. Two of the most common types are balanced armature drivers (BA) and dynamic drivers (DD). Both have their own strengths and sound different depending on the intended use and sound design.

BA drivers are compact, precise drivers that are particularly efficient at reproducing certain frequency ranges clearly and with great detail. They are therefore often used in multi-way driver setups, where one or more BA drivers are specialized for a specific frequency range (e.g. highs, mids or lows).

Dynamic drivers work in a similar way as speakers: they use a diaphragm that is set in motion by a spool and a magnet. This technology ensures a very natural and powerful reproduction, especially in the bass range. Dynamic drivers usually sound warmer and fuller than BA drivers and give the bass a special sound.

Slide 1

As a special 2-driver hybrid system, the VE ONE uses the best of both driver worlds: the warm and powerful reproduction in the bass and mid-range combined with the precision and clarity of the BA driver for the highs.

Pressure Relief Valve (PRV)

To achieve the full sound potential of the dynamic driver, the VE ONE requires a pressure relief valve (PRV), which enables the necessary pressure balancing in the shell. This PRV is integrated into the faceplate of every VE ONE, regardless of the design selected.

Pressure Relief Valve – PRV

Why do dynamic drivers need a vent for pressure compensation?

Dynamic drivers work on the principle of a small speaker: a diaphragm is set in motion by a spool, which generates sound waves. This movement creates air pressure inside the shell. If this pressure cannot escape, a so-called pressure build-up occurs, which restricts the freedom of movement of the membrane. This leads to several problems such as reduced bass reproduction or an unnatural sound.

Slide 1

To prevent this and ensure the full sound of the dynamic driver, a small vent (PRV) is integrated into the faceplate. This ensures pressure compensation, allowing excess air to escape without making the sound audible to the outside.

“The vision behind the VE ONE was to create an entry into the world of professional In-Ear monitoring that leaves nothing to be desired. The result is a 2-driver hybrid model with premium sound: balanced, exciting and “ready to perform”!”
