We are committed to providing the best quality possible. However, custom-made products may sometimes require adjustments for various reasons. If this is the first time you have a custom in-ear headset, give your ears about a week to get used to wearing them.

Maybe the earpiece is not inserted correctly? Please check if the cymba (the part we engraved your name on) is sitting comfortably underneath the fold of skin. Also check if they go deep enough inside your ear canal to give you a seal and look to sit flush in your ear. Often a mirror or an in-ear-experienced friend helps finding the right position.
If this doesn't help either, please send us the earpiece well packed and together with the completed refit form (link?). We will perform the refit within a few days.

Refitting of our in ear monitors is free of charge within the first 12 weeks after delivery. After that, costs between 60 and 120 EUR will be charged for the process.
Check:
Insert the in ears and run a signal. Now use a finger to lightly press the receiver on the quieter side against your head/deeper inside the ear. If the signal is now balanced, then one side of the custom-made earpiece is not quite tight.

If the problem occurs on both sides, try to borrow a cable from a musician friend or one of our dealers and test if the in ear monitors work with the other cable. If the monitors work again, then you only need a new cable, which you can buy in our accessories store.

If the distortion occurs only on one side, then please disconnect the cable from both earpieces and swap left and right. If the distortion now occurs on the other side of the in ears, then you only need a new cable, which you can buy in our accessories store.

Check2:
If the problem occurs on both sides, then please test if the problem also occurs with another audio source. If the distortion no longer occurs, then there is something wrong with the first audio source. Maybe it is not designed for the low impedances of in-ear headphones. Many headphone outputs of mixing consoles are not suitable for the direct connection of in-ears, since the headphone amplifiers are rather designed for high-impedance headphones.
Check3:
Try to borrow a cable from a musician friend or one of our dealers and test if the in ears work with the other cable. If they now work properly again, you only need a new cable, which you can buy in our accessories store.

Our in-ears have acoustic filters built into the sound channel. These filters have a membrane made of a fine fabric and serve to both model the sound and protect the technology from moisture and dirt.
Dust, sweat and earwax can contaminate the membrane more and more over time, resulting in a muffled or quieter sound than in the beginning. In such a case, you are welcome to send us your monitors for a filter exchange, after which it will sound like new again.
If the earpiece is used regularly while sweating profusely, it can happen that a drop of moisture completely wets the membrane of the filters leading to no sound passing through. After laying in a closed case with a drying capsule overnight, the earpiece usually works again. If you need to do it quickly, you can also (carefully) use a hairdryer to help it along.
Cost:
A filter change costs 20 - 80 EUR, depending on how many filters need to be changed, and your IEM usually goes back out to you the same day.
If the pin still sticks out a bit, try to pinch it with a nail clipper or a fine cable side cutter and lever it out. If you don't succeed, please send us the IEM, we can usually get hold of the pin. Otherwise we will replace the complete socket. Please send us the in ears well packaged and with a short description of the error.
Cost:
A socket exchange costs 60 EUR per side. You would also need a new cable on top. Depending on the design of the in ear (Ambience, Artwork etc.) there may be additional costs.
Please gather up all the parts you can find and send them in with the in ears. We will get back to you with an estimate. Don't panic! We can usually fix your baby ;-)

1.) Soundverbesserung:
Es gibt keine Einschränkung beim Gestalten des Mixes für den einzelnen Musiker, d.h. das Verhältnis der einzelnen Instrumente im individuellen Monitormix ist von jedem Musiker frei bestimmbar. Wenn z.B. jemand sein eigenes Instrument unverhältnismäßig laut hören will, ist dies möglich, ohne dass andere Musiker gestört werden. Ausserdem steht den Musikern bei Bedarf ein Stereo Signal zur Verfügung. Voraussetzung ist natürlich ein entsprechendes Monitormischpult!
2.) Die Musiker haben eine bessere Kontrolle über ihre Instrumente, dadurch ergibt sich ein besseres Zusammenspiel der Band
3.) „Tighteres“ Spielen der Musiker verbessert die Performance und damit auch den FOH-Sound! (FOH „Front of House“: das über die PA wiedergegebene Signal fürs Publikum)
4.) Der FOH Sound wird zusätzlich besser, weil kein Schall mehr von den Monitorboxen in die Mikros einstreut!
5.) Die Musiker sind frei beweglich! (keine fixen Monitorplätze)
6.)Die Ohren der Musiker werden nicht mehr so stark belastet, denn durch die starke Außenschallabdämmung ist eine moderate Lautstärke möglich!
7.) Wenn der In-Ear Mix bei Proben vor der Tour bereits erarbeitet wurde, wird die tägliche Soundcheck Zeit auf der Bühne drastisch minimiert. Die wechselnde Akustik der unterschiedlichen Spielorte hat kaum noch Einfluss auf den persönlichen Monitor Sound.
8.) Das Einspielen von Klick, Playback oder ggf. Sprachanweisungen ist viel einfacher!
9.) In Ear Monitoring bedeutet weniger Aufwand beim Auf-, Abbau und Transport – dadurch ist es logistisch günstiger als herkömmliches Monitoring! (Gewicht, Platz im Fahrzeug)
10.) Bei größeren Veranstaltungen ist In Ear Monitoring ein wesentlich geringerer Kostenfaktor! (statt mehrerer Wedges und Endstufen pro Person ist nur noch eine Sendeanlage mit In-Ear Hörer nötig).
11.) Bessere Optik der Bühne durch Verzicht auf Monitorboxen
1.) selbst bei bewegungsintensiver Show sitzen die In Ear Hörer sicher im Ohr!
2.) der Sound ist immer gleich, denn das maßgefertigte Ohrpaßstück kann nicht in unterschiedliche Positionen rutschen und durch fehlende Abdichtung oder unterschiedlichen Resonanzraum den Sound negativ beeinflussen
3.) viel bequemerer Sitz (ist bei häufigem Gebrauch besonders wichtig!)
4.) dezentere Optik
5.) man kann individueller auf akustische und optische Wünsche eingehen
6.) bei kleinen Ohren oder schwieriger Ohranatomie sitzen die In Ears trotzdem sehr sicher
7.) es ist ein Ambience System möglich (ein extra Schallkanal, der den Umgebungsschall in geregeltem Maße wieder hörbar werden lässt – bei hochwertigen Hörersystemen werden unterschiedliche Dämpfungsfilter für diesen Schallkanal angeboten, die es dem Musiker erlauben, selber zu bestimmen, wie viel Umgebungsgeräusche er noch hört)
8.) man kann die Technik im Innern der Hörer optimal platzieren, darum wird ein maßgefertigter In Ear Hörer noch einmal deutlich besser klingen als ein Standard Hörer mit der gleichen Technik. Ausserdem ist bei allen In Ear Hörern eines besonders wichtig: der gute Halt im Ohr! In-Ears klingen erst dann gut, wenn der Hörer absolut geschlossen im Ohr sitzt – die Technik reagiert auf die kleinste Öffnung nach außen und die In Ear Hörer klingen recht unterschiedlich, je nach dem wie tief sie im Ohr sitzen.
Professionelle In Ear Hörer haben eine relativ hohe Außenschallabdämpfung von ca. 26 dB, d.h. der Musiker hört die Umgebungsgeräusche nur noch sehr undefiniert bzw. bei aktivem Signal gar nicht mehr. Meistens ist gerade diese Eigenschaft von In Ear Hörern sehr willkommen, da das In Ear Signal bei hoher Aussenschallabdämpfung den Bühnenlärm nicht übertönen muss. Einigen Künstlern fehlt in diesem Fall allerdings der Publikumkontakt oder sie fühlen sich einfach zu isoliert. Es gibt daher zwei professionelle Möglichkeiten wie man dem Musiker wieder mehr Ambience verschaffen kann:
1.) mit einem Ambience-Filter-System im In Ear Hörer.
Dieses System ist ein Zusatzfeature, bei dem ein extra Schallkanal angelegt wird, der den Umgebungsschall in geregeltem Maße wieder hörbar werden lässt. Bei dem Ambience-Filter-System der VE Hörer werden unterschiedliche Dämpfungsfilter für dessen Schallkanal mitgeliefert, die es dem Musiker erlauben, selber zu bestimmen, wie viel Umgebungsgeräusche er noch hört. Diese Öffnung nach außen wird aber auch eine klangliche Veränderung des In Ear Signals mit sich bringen (vor allem im Bassbereich), deshalb sollte man auf eine persönliche Beratung vor dem Kauf auf keinen Fall verzichten.
2.) mit zusätzlichen Ambience Mikrofonen
Der beste, und in professionellen In Ear Kreisen häufigste Weg, um dem Musiker den Umgebungsschall wieder zuzuführen, besteht im Einsatz von Ambience-Mikrofonen. Das Ambience Signal kann dadurch einfach der Summe zugemischt werden oder, was einige sehr umsichtige Monitortechniker gerne tun, das Signal wird nur in den Spielpausen oder bei besonderen Gelegenheiten „hoch gezogen“. So hat man während des Spielens den optimalen In-Ear Sound und in den Spielpausen oder Animations-Parts, den Kontakt zum Publikum.
Die In Ear Hörer von VISION EARS sind natürlich auch kompatibel mit allen gängigen Audio Playern.
Durch die Außenschallabdämpfung haben unsere In-Ears den großen Vorteil, dass man selbst in lauter Umgebung ein klares Klangbild hat, weil alle Außengeräusche nur noch stark abgedämpft wahrgenommen werden. Diese Eigenschaft ist beim Bahnfahren, im Flugzeug oder als ruhebedürftiger Beifahrer ein wahrer Segen und schont zugleich die Ohren, denn der Lautstärkepegel der lästigen Außengeräusche muss nicht mehr übertönt werden!
Alles in allem überzeugt die professionelle In Ear Technik nicht nur auf der Bühne mit einem absolut glasklaren und druckvollen Sound, sondern wird auch so manchen HiFi Begeisterten in der Freizeit glücklich machen.
Ein Limiter schützt nicht nur die Technik des Hörers vor unerwarteten Pegelspitzen sondern auch die Ohren der Musiker! In-Ear ist bei richtiger Anwendung klanglich ein großer Schritt nach vorne und sollte eure Ohren vor Überlastung schützen. Auf Grund der Außenschallabdämpfung ist oft eine moderate Lautstärke absolut ausreichend, denn auf der Bühne muss der Umgebungsschall nicht mehr mit dem Monitorsignal übertönt werden.
Der In Ear - Musiker kann sich allerdings nicht mehr wie bei herkömmlichem Monitoring die Ohren zuhalten oder sich wegdrehen, wenn es zu unerwartet hohen Pegeln kommt (Feedback, Störgeräusche etc.) Diese Gefahr ist eigentlich sehr gering, weil durch die Verwendung von In Ear Hörern keine Floor Monitore mehr benutzt werden müssen und so das Feedback-Risiko erheblich reduziert wird. Plötzliche Pegelspitzen können sich aber auch auf anderem Wege einschleichen und deswegen sollte beim Gebrauch von In Ear Monitoring immer ein Limiter zwischengeschaltet sein! Die neuen Generationen von In Ear Sendeanlagen sind inzwischen alle mit einem Limiter ausgestattet und wenn nicht, dann hat der Tontechniker oft ein 19“ Gerät im Rack, das dann in die Signalkette integriert werden kann.
Das Risiko eines lärmbedingten Hörverlustes hängt nicht davon ab, ob man den Schall als angenehm oder unangenehm empfindet. Die Erfahrungen und Grenzwerte aus der Industrie gelten deshalb auch für die Belastung mit Musik, wie Untersuchungen an Rockmusikern und Mitgliedern von Symphonieorchestern leider bestätigen. Im Arbeitsschutz wird davon ausgegangen, dass ein durchschnittlicher Dauerschallpegel von 87dB(A) während einer 40 Stündigen Arbeitswoche gerade noch verträglich ist. Darüber hinaus sollte grundsätzlich Gehörschutz getragen werden. Wenn man diese gesetzliche und daher sehr vorsichtige Belastungsgrenze als Maßstab nimmt, kann man sich recht einfach über die Gesamtmenge des schädigenden Lärms im eigenen Alltag bewusst werden. Natürlich ist es absolut nicht notwendig, ständig mit Schallpegelmesser und Stoppuhr durch die Gegend zu laufen, denn wie belastbar eure Ohren sind, ist sehr individuell und hängt von der eigenen Konstitution und von vielen weiteren Faktoren ab (körperliche Fitness, Erholung usw. eben das, was Mediziner einem allgemein für ein gesundes Leben raten…) Es ist aber trotzdem wichtig, nicht zu sorglos und zu unbedacht mit Lautstärke umzugehen, denn wir leben in einer sehr lauten Welt und sollten zumindest wissen, wann es zu einer Überlastung kommen kann, um auch vorher einschätzen zu können, was zu viel ist…
Ähnlich wie bei zu hohem Alkoholkonsum, bei dem man am nächsten Tag mit einem Kater oder gar Filmriss aufwacht, ist das Pfeiffen in den Ohren nach einem Konzert ein Zeichen für eine deutliche Überlastung. Meistens erholen sich die Ohren von solchen Überlastungen wieder, aber auf Dauer wird man, wie bei zu häufigem übermässigen Alkoholkonsum, die Konsequenzen zu spüren bekommen.
Wer sich fragt, ob er schon einen Hörverlust hat und es genau wissen will, der kann sich bei jedem Hörgeräteakustiker ein sogenanntes Audiogramm erstellen lassen. Im Alltag erkennt man einen fortschreitenden Hörverlust u.a. daran, dass man in lauter Umgebung zunehmend Schwierigkeiten hat, einem Gespräch zu folgen. In extremen Fällen kann eine Überlastung aber auch zu einem Hörsturz (kurzzeitiger/langfristiger Hörverlust auf einem oder beiden Ohren) oder dauerhaften Tinnitus (Klingeln im Ohr) führen.
Die folgende Grafik zeigt die Beziehung zwischen Schallpegel und Einwirkungszeit. Hier kann man sehr gut sehen, wie drastisch sich die noch unbedenkliche Belastungsdauer verkürzt, wenn man den Lautstärkepegel nur um wenige dB erhöht. Und genau das macht die Sache so spannend und schlecht für den Alltag umzusetzen, denn wenn man sich die Grafik mal genauer anschaut, wird man feststellen, dass schon eine Erhöhung des Pegels um 3dB die wöchentlich verträgliche Belastungsdauer halbiert!
Auf der oberen Skala sind die Schallpegel eingetragen, auf der unteren Skala lässt sich die maximal verträgliche Einwirkungszeit in Minuten oder Stunden pro Woche für den betreffenden Pegel ablesen.
Zwei Beispiele: Laute Musik im Kopfhörer mit 95 dB(A) kann den Ohren theoretisch ca. 6 Stunden je Woche zugemutet werden und bei einem Rockkonzert mit einem Durchschnittwert von 100 dB(A) hat man bereits nach 2 Stunden seine wöchentliche Portion Schallbelastung „abgerockt“- mit einem Gehörschutz, der einen 15 dB Dämmwert hat, wären es demnach wieder ca. 40 Stunden, weil ja nur noch 85 dB ankommen!
Mit dem bei VISION EARS erhältlichen maßgefertigte Elacin ER -9/-15/-25, kann man die verträgliche Belastungsdauer also erheblich verlängern – und das ohne dabei grosse Kompromisse beim Klang einzugehen!
Bei den weit verbreiteten Schaumstoffstöpseln hört man Aussengeräusche nur noch sehr dumpf und undefiniert, weil die hohen Frequenzen extrem stark abgedämpft werden. Sie schützen zwar die Ohren, aber für den Musikgenuss sind sie einfach nicht zu gebrauchen. Im Gegensatz dazu arbeiten unsere hochwertigere Gehörschützer mit einem Filtersystem, welches alle Frequenzen relativ gleichmässig abdämpft und dadurch klingen sie sehr natürlich und ausgewogen. Bei häufiger Benutzung sind solche Produkte letztendlich sogar günstiger als Schaumstoffstöpsel, denn sie halten bei guter Pflege viele Jahre!
Der ER -9/-15/-25 ist wegen seiner Klangtreue der weltweit meist verkaufte maßgefertigte Gehörschutz und besonders in Musiker- und Tontechnikerkreisen weit verbreitet!

Please understand that we can't always look over your shoulder to see what you're doing with the In Ears on stage and in the rehearsal room. In case of obvious material defects, a limited warranty period of one year applies.

Our delivery times are always somewhat dependent on how full our order books are. Time periods with a lot of live music (e.g. festival season, carnival, international highlights…) may lead to longer waiting times. Also current trade shows, vacation periods and cases of illness can influence the delivery time of course. Nevertheless, we always try everything to make every customer happy as soon as possible.
Currently our delivery time is about x weeks. After you placed your order and we received your ear impressions, you will receive a mail with an exact indication in which calendar week your in ear monitors will be ready.
If you have a tour or important gig coming up, for which you would need the monitors, then please contact us. We can certainly help you get your in-ears earlier.
Our universal in-ears of the Signature Line as well as the Premium Line are always in stock in a certain quantity and can usually be sent out the same day.
Please send us an e-mail with the manufacturer and model name, a description of the fault and ideally also pictures of your in ears. We will then get back to you as soon as possible with an assessment and corresponding quote.
Please understand that we sometimes have to say "no". Despite similar optics, the IEM's of different manufacturers are built quite differently, use different components and materials or have other peculiarities. Sometimes the effort on our part and the result are just not in any (affordable) proportion.
As with most things, it depends greatly on how well you take care of it. With good care (regular cleaning, dry and safe storage) you can easily have 15 years of enjoyment with your In Ears. And in case something does break, we are able to fix just about anything you break.
The VE in ears feel especially good in the company of their siblings, hence we offer the Family Deal, which allows you to save money on the purchase of one or more additional models - distributing the burden of use on several shoulders :)

We are convinced that every manufacturer has a justification existence and is valuable in its own way for our mutual hobby/profession. Our products are designed to be compatible with as many others as possible in order to be prepared for all surprises in their use. Each cable and monitoring system has its advantages and disadvantages, each player its own sound. Talk to your fellow musicians, technicians and the manufacturers themselves and try for yourself what you can get your hands on.
As with HiFi speakers, our in-ears also work with crossovers to bring the drivers (these are the small speakers inside the in-ears) into a certain sound pattern. We work exclusively with passive components (i.e. without external power supply) and with the help of capacitors, resistors and coils the music signal is divided into different paths, so that each driver takes over a certain frequency range. A 3 way system must therefore have at least 3 drivers and is classically divided into bass, midrange and treble. But there are also IEM’s with 8 drivers (our VE8), which are only 3-way systems. In this case the bass is taken over by 2 woofers, the midrange by 2 midrange drivers and the treble by four tweeters. The term "ways" therefore has nothing to do with the number of drivers but only shows how many divisions the music signal is divided into by the crossover.
We have described all models on our website as accurately as possible in terms of sound. You will also find our recommendations on which models are preferred for certain instruments. This is certainly good to make a preselection. However, we clearly recommend that you always listen to our demo in-ears first, because nothing replaces your own listening impression. There are many factors that influence your decision: which IEM/headphone/speakers am I used to listening to? Which instrument do I play? Do I value high resolution with a lot of detail or should the sound give me a good feeling? Do I need in-ears that highlight my instrument well, or rather a good overall sound?
